How often do you have meetings?
We hold meetings monthly, with the exception of December.
What is the cost to attend a meeting?
Members attend monthly meetings at no charge. Guests are $20.
What does my membership get me?
There are many benefits to being a member of the MWPA. Some of the many benefits include inclusion in all MWPA media advertising, listing on MWPA website (which is directly linked to your website), discounts at MWPA bridal shows, no charge for monthly meeting attendance, and and more. Where are meetings held?
Meetings are held at different venues, in and around the Baltimore/Washington area. Weʼve held meetings in restaurants, hotels, bakeries, floral shops, and more.
When are meetings?
Meetings are generally held the 4th Tuesday of the month. Our meetings are most often held from 6-8pm at night. Occasionally, meetings are held during day time hours, if the venue requests it or if venue is a significant distance from
Baltimore (more than one hour).
What do I wear?
Most members and guests of the MWPA wear business casual to meetings. We encourage you to dress comfortably and professionally.
Do I need to bring anything?
Be sure to bring business cards and/or other literature youʼd like to hand out. Your calendar is also useful, in the event youʼd like to set up a meeting with another member outside of our monthly meeting. We encourage this!
Do you have other events besides monthly meetings?
We promote several bridal shows per year.
How do I become a member?
We have an application for membership that should be completed. Youʼll note that the application requires you to list either a sponsoring MWPA member or 2 business references. Weʼre happy to assist you with this if needed. Cash, check, or charge with your completed application will start your membership. If paying for the entire yearʼs membership, youʼll receive a 10% discount!

Whatʼs a meeting promoter?
A promoter is any wedding professional who would like to contribute to a monthly meeting. Both MWPA members and non members are invited to volunteer. Promoters are venue hosts, speakers, and any other vendor who would like to showcase their product of service (ex. florist donating flowers to meeting).
